FileFacets was founded in 2000 by Chris Perram and Valerie Gierman.

Drawing on years of experience providing companies and public sector organizations with the migration services required to ensure successful deployment of ECM implementations, they recognized that while other IG Professionals knew what to do, they didn’t have the tools to act as many of the tools available were too expensive and unweildy.

In response to the overwhelming feedback they had received over years of providing classification, attribution and migration services, FileFacets turned their own technology tool into a flexible, scalable cloud-based solution for all types and size of businesses – allowing everyone, regardless of data analytics experience – to participate in the data discovery, analysis, migration and monitoring of relevant content.

Allowing all types of organizations to streamline business processes and make better business decisions.

Best Ottawa Businesses 2016
#NextBigThing Award

The Best Ottawa Business Awards (The BOBs) highlight local Ottawa businesses and individuals who have stood out in the community as entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders. The gala is put on by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce, and it hosts over 600 of Ottawa’s finest businesses, community leaders and local celebrities at the Westin Hotel in the heart of the city.

On November 10, 2016, FileFacets was awarded with #NextBigThingOTT. This award highlights businesses that have shown substantial growth, and are expected to become leaders of their industries in the coming years. It was a great honour to be recognized among our peers at the BOBs, and we cannot wait to prove that we are in fact the Next Big Thing.
